I hadn’t done any Statham Lodge wedding photography for a couple of years, (though plenty of Cheshire wedding photography), and though it was only early April, the daffodils were already out and we could not have been blessed with a finer day. Being surrounded on all sides by attractive and well-managed gardens Statham Lodge always was a versatile venue and it has now been further improved with the addition of more ornamental features.
Laura and Ben chose me to be their Cheshire wedding photographer after they were guests at Michelle and Alastair Cobley’s wedding in 2010, loved the pictures I took for them and were impressed by my relaxed and easy-going manner. They were also guests at Rachel and Julian’s Cobley’s wedding in 2007.
This was a lovely wedding. Perhaps it was the emergence of spring after a particularly long and hard winter, but you got the feeling that everyone had been waiting a long time for this celebration of love and happiness. Like Michelle and Alastair, Laura and Ben were married at St. Mary’s and All Saints Church at Great Budworth, though this time we had blazing sunshine all day. Because of this I chose the softer evening light to shoot the final pictures of Laura and Ben for their Statham Lodge wedding photography.
